Banora Point STP Upgrade

The current upgrade of the Banora Point Sewage Treatment Plant near the Tweed Coast involves construction of a 4,000 cubic metre balance tank and a 12,000 cubic metre clarifier. A dewatering management plan and stormwater management plan were prepared by Precise Environmental on behalf of the Principal Contractors to guide the treatment and discharge of extracted groundwater within the constraints of the STPs operational requirements and local catchment management objectives.
Runaway Bay Service Station
A dewatering management plan was prepared for groundwater extraction works undertaken during construction of a new service station. The plan recognised fuel contamination in the groundwater associated with the former service station at the site, and outlined management strategies for the extraction, treatment and discharge of groundwater to the stormwater network.
A comprehensive water quality monitoring program was also implemented during the dewatering program to assess the effectiveness of treatment and identify any potential impacts in the receiving environment.

Other Projects

Brisbane Airport Hotel, Hamilton, Queensland

A dewatering management plan was prepared, and compliance monitoring and environmental supervision undertaken for dewatering operations associated with the construction of a 2500 cubic metre basement. PE’s advice on management strategies for discharge of iron-rich groundwater at this site enabled our client to maintain an uninterrupted dewatering program, to the satisfaction of the Brisbane Airport Corporation.
