3.6km 33kV Feeder Alignment – Nudgee to Brisbane Airport, Queensland
An acid sulfate soil and groundwater investigation were undertaken, and a construction management plan prepared, including installation of 13 groundwater wells, on a 3.6 kilometre services alignment traversing sensitive wetlands, contaminated land, the Gateway Motorway, and Brisbane Airport Corporation land. The diverse and sensitive land uses, and underground services on the alignment presented significant challenges, and the investigation and management plan was a matter of urgency for our client to move forward with the project. PE was able to deliver these services within strict timeframes to the satisfaction of DPI&F, without issue.
Sand Extraction Project (Stages 5-8), Woongoolba, Queensland
Completion of a detailed acid sulfate soil report for complex sub-surface at a 40 hectare site on Logan River. By using existing geological information PE was able to reduce the number of boreholes and sample analyses, while meeting statutory planning requirements.
